Hi, my name is Shelby. I started working with flowers when I was living in England ten years ago, but being creative has been a life long practice. I love the imagining and planning part of floral design. No event is the same, and that is the way it should be!

I like the artistic approach. I have been making pottery for most of my life. In my floral design work I often use vases I have created, if it fits with the vibe.

In another life, I was an actress. Now I find myself daydreaming about weddings the way I used to daydream about scripts. That experience gave me curiosity, a trust in my instincts and a very strong empathy muscle. For a moment, when I pass a bride her bouquet, I am filled with so much love for her and for them as a couple- this can’t just be a job, it must be a calling. The work I create is heartfelt.

Although I have spent many years living in other places, this area has always been home for me. Washington state is a beautiful corner of the world, and I strive to be mindful by using sustainable practices in my floral design, in order to treat our land right. That means composting waste and not using floral foam.

As a creative, I feel so grateful to use the natural world as a palette, bringing beauty into the big moments of people’s lives.
